Carmen: A Hip Hopera is just a refreshing movie with a fusion of R&B and Hip Hop very loosely inspired by Georges Bizet’s 1875 opera Carmen. It’s a massive collective of who’s who in black culture’s entertainment at that time. The made for TV movie had many catchy rap numbers in it, mostly being able to see a young Beyonce rap was a must. If you’re an avid Hip Hop fan, you have to at least see this move once in your lifetime. It was fun, joyful and entertaining to see rappers in a modern musical. The film was marketed by Hollywood as a “timeless story told through rhyme”…
